Let’s Talk… New Year’s Resolutions!

It’s a new year and a new you. For many of you, it’s time to shed your bad habits and look to improve your life in some way. Most people make resolutions but fail to keep them. Here are some pointers to keep your resolutions intact throughout the year.

First, small steps throughout the year equal big progress at the end of the year.

Second, come up with a manageable amount of things you want to concentrate on. I see people who have 50 things they will work on and none get completed. Maybe 3 things you want to improve and work on as your resolution.

Third, have a quarterly check in. This allows you to see what you are doing right/ wrong.

Lastly, reward yourself. If you meet goals to achieve an end result, come up with a reward system that keeps you engaged and moves you to the goalpost at the end of the year.
