Let’s Talk… FlixBus from Houston to New Orleans!
I hate the drive from Houston to New Orleans and back. Many parts of the trip are construction zones and it makes me nervous. The last couple of times I flew, and that was a disaster. One time the pilot was about to take off and had to return to the gate because he exceeded his flight time. The flight was canceled and I completed it the next day. Another time the flight was canceled because of weather. This time I took a FlixBus and I loved it. Here is why.
- The ticket was about what I’d pay in gas. I also don’t have the wear and tear on my car.
- You can get to the stop 10 minutes before you leave, load your luggage and the bus is off and running. It was on time and the driver was going the speed limit. No time wasted and no lingering.
- The bus staff is friendly and helpful. The bus to New Orleans had an attendant who was there to help if needed.
- You can book right before you leave. I’d book ahead, but if you have an emergency and need to get somewhere fast – this may be an option. There are also buses leaving from Houston all the time. Lastly, some of the buses have WiFi and all have usb charging and plugs.
In conclusion, we see FlixBus when we go to Europe where it is used as a way to get from city to city. It’s definitely something I’d use again if you are sick of airports and don’t like to drive.
