Let’s talk… 10 steps for creating a new website!

Thank you all so much for your support and feedback on our new website! 

Based on what we learned, we wanted to share with you 10 steps for creating a new website, as well as services* that we used:

1. Research other websites and brainstorm the structure, look and feel of your website. Get lots of ideas and feedback.
2. Select and purchase a domain (your web address). We used GoDaddy and later consolidated under our host (see #7).
3. Research website builders. We used one of WordPress designers on Fiverr to build ours.
4. Create a logo, if you need one. We also used Fiverr.
5. Write a copy (content). You can hire someone to do this but we did ours ourselves.
6. Organize a photo session, if you need new profile pictures.
7. Choose a host for your website. We picked BlueHost.
8. Get your website approved by compliance, if applicable. We had to be compliant with FINRA/SIPC and get LPL Financial approval.
9. Optimize the SEO. We did some basics but it’s work in progress.
10. Go live!
